Center for Informatics in East Asian Studies Kyoto University

The Center for Informatics in East Asian Studies is part of Kyoto University.



The facility, which includes a vast library of Chinese and Asian volumes, is housed in a beautiful Spanish Romanesque-style building an garden just north of Imadegawa Dori, not far from Ginkakuji Temple, the Guanghualiao dormitory (Kokaryo) and the former British Council building, now an apartment building.



The Center for Informatics in East Asian Studies building is based on the design of a Spanish monastery and was built in 1930.
